It's great to see the overwhelming support this series is receiving over here in the states. I'm also pleasantly surprised by how much my fellow TW fans are supporting the Jack/Ianto relationship. I became a big-time slasher/shipper back during the times of Angel and Farscape, and I've been shipping Jack and Ianto from episode one when Jack made the remark "And he looks good in a suit."
To think that the couple would eventually become, not only canon, but the "heart" of the show? I never would've dreamed of it. Hell, I'm used to my slashed couples being just that -- slash. So, to say that this interview made my day would be a gross understatement. That's also not including the fact that, in a previous interview, Julie said we would continue to see Jack and Ianto as a couple because she likes seeing them as such. In other words, the wonderful Julie Gardner is a Janto shipper as well.
Julie, can I just say that I love you?
This is also, I believe, the first time that JB has used the words "fallen for" in an interview when referring to Janto, which is ultimately going to put quite a few worries to rest: Yes, peeps... As I've been stating on quite a few forums for a while now, Jack does indeed love Ianto. I also believe this relationship is going to be a long-term thing in the show. And that, in itself, makes me very happy.

Heh, I honestly don't think that my brain would be able to handle the hotness of 22 episodes of Torchwood AND 22 episodes of Supernatural.
It would explode. No, really.
We'll have to make the most of the 5 eps we're gonna get I guess...
Yeah, it looks like. Although, I'm happy just to be getting anything. If you think about it, 5 Doctor Who specials and 5 episodes of Torchwood isn't really that bad. In fact, it should be just enough to tie us over until 2010 when, hopefully, we'll a full fourth series of TW.
I just want one thing out of the third series of TW -- I want to hear Jack say those three little words to Ianto. If that were to happen, I would be on cloud nine for the rest of year. :D

Jack may well say it to Ianto, or at least imply. Those two are so sweet together, I never thought I'd like a male/male relationship, but Jack/Ianto are great. Same thing with John Barrowman/Scott. So sweet.

Yeah, just look at how obsessed we are already! I don't think we could handle anymore... LOL!

Well, Jack seemed to have implied it in the episode To The Last Man when he made the remark: "loved people I never would've known if I'd just stayed where I was... And I wouldn't change that for the world."
My heart ached when he said that, and Ianto seemed to have understood what it meant. They seem to have the type of relationship where feelings are expressed through their actions -- not words. Still, the romantic in me wants to hear Jack say those words.
And, yeah, Jack & Ianto are incredibly sweet together; I adore them. They're a prime example of a love between two people that transcends gender.
Same thing with John Barrowman/Scott. So sweet.
John and Scott are the only RL couple that's able to make my heart melt whenever I see them together. Their relationship truly is something special.

I think Ianto kind of knows how important he is to Jack. I can't help shipping Jack/Gwen a little too, because she's so obviously infatuated. And he's kind of attracted to her too, but he also wants her to be their link to a 'normal' life, so he wouldn't want for her to leave Rhys.
John/Scott are pure love. It's all very new for me, 'cos only this week did I see Scott for the first time, and I'm totally in love with them together.

Yeah, I think Ianto realizes what he means to Jack as well. As I said, they seem to have that type of relationship where words need not be spoken to know just how much your partner cares about you.
As for the Jack/Gwen thing, yeah she's obviously attracted to him and vice-versa. It's just that the thought of a romantic relationship between the two squicks me quite a bit. Don't get me wrong... I adore Gwen. In fact, I love her to bits. It's just that I don't like the prospect of her and Jack as a couple.
My reason? Because I love Ianto, and I just simply adore Rhys. I can't stand the thought of seeing either one of them hurt.
Rhys is perfect for Gwen; he seems to have this warm presence about him. He's also very supportive, and yet he doesn't hesitate to tell her off when she needs it. You need that in a partner -- you need someone to keep your feet on the ground. Ianto does it for Jack, and Rhys does it for Gwen.

There's no way Gwen could ever have the relationship with Jack that she has with Rhys. For one, I honestly don't think she would put up with his insatiable flirting. Ianto, on the other hand, seems to have accepted it as part of Jack's unique personality. He knows that, despite all, it's just innocent flirting and that he's the one who Jack comes home to. Or at least that's my perception of it. There's a distinct possibility that I'm wrong in that regard.
JB seems to think that, if Jack ever settled down with Ianto, he would let him know that "he has to play around on the side." I disagree. I just don't get that vibe from Jack; he seems to be ever so gentle and caring around Ianto. Then again, John has contradicted himself a few times where Jack is concerned, so I'll forgive him. ;]
Personally, I believe that he and the others are just saying what they think the fans want to hear -- which is perfectly fine. No complaints here. :D

Scott is incredibly hot, no wonder John is still with him after such a long time.
OMG! I just watched the finale! In fact, I watched the three last episodes that were missing. I can't stop crying, my God, I'm still in shock! Poor Jack, i can't believe he spent 2000 yrs buried underground! My God, poor dear... it's too cruel. And he came out, and still knew what was going on, remembered everything. How can he have such a strong mind! He's simply amazing... oh now I love him a whole lot more *sigh*
