Today, I finally got around to watching Joss' latest project: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. This was done via iTunes download, so it was completely legal. I did this so that, hopefully, this little program will get an official DVD release in the near future.
As for the program itself... Bloody. Fantastic. This was a perfect musical follow-up to the Buffy episode Once More With Feeling. Also, kudos to Neil Patrick Harris in his role as Dr. Horrible. There were several instances where I literally had to pause the program because I was laughing so hard at his antics. It's been quite some time since I've done that. Nathan was also superb -- I loved his line "Ow! This must be what pain feels like!" I also loved the line "The hammer is my penis." Ha! That line is destined to become a classic!
Basically, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog came along and provided me with quite a few much appreciated laughs -- which I desperately needed after the past 48 hours I've had to endure with a beloved family pet dying of cancer.
Babs, honey, I dedicate this post to you. You were a vital part of this family for seventeen years. You will be sorely missed.
