Right. I'm not saying it was a "good" thing, not at all, I'm saying it's an understandable thing. Just because I can riddle out the motivation does not mean I agree with it. Middle children [stereotypically] are very rebellious and can often be manipulative of the youngest (in response to pressure from the overly conforming eldest).

And I didn't mean Dean doesn't respect Sam... I meant from Sam's perspective he would feel that Dean doesn't listen to him. It IS Sam's way or the highway and thus if Dean isn't willing to listen/compromise, I can see Sam as writing it off as if Dean doesn't respect him. I was giving Sam's motivation for acting as he did, not the actual assessment of the facts. My apologies for not wording it properly.

I'm a Dean!Girl all the way. But I don't hate Sammy. I see his motivation, and though I very rarely agree with it, I can understand it. I can't hate him or be pissed at him when, however messed up his stance may be, it still makes some semblance of sense... especially if you think about it from his perspective.
