And we finally return to the trademark creepiness of season one. Awesome.
I'll admit it: There were a few times during this episode where I was biting my nails. I haven't done that since the first season.
The general atmosphere was creepy as hell, and once again it wasn't because of the paranormal; it was because of the sick, twisted nature of human beings. And if you were to take into account that I'm currently studying psychology, you can only imagine how much I enjoyed it. In other words, this episode was a breath of fresh air for me. I enjoyed every single moment... Well, except for the part with the dog. That scene made me wince, and curse Sam and Dean. Yeah, I know it wasn't their fault, but still... I needed someone to blame for it. I've got a major soft-spot for dogs, and in my humble opinion, that particular scene wasn't necessary for the overall plotline. My only other gripe was the brother. What the hell? I thought the daughter committed suicide after giving birth to the girl? Did I miss something?
ETA: By the way, the scene at the end with Dean confessing to Sam that he "enjoyed" the torment he inflicted upon those poor souls in Hell? It broke me...
Kitsu's Final Grade: B-
God, I can't wait until next week because I love anything pertaining to *********. ♥
