The Supernatural fandom is currently bound together, grieving over the loss of celebrated director Kim Manners. Yesterday, entries popped up all over livejournal expressing shock, sadness and heart-ache. We, the fans, were hit hard with the news, and we voiced our grief. And the crew of SPN heard us:

It is times like these that I am proud to be part of this fandom because we never fail to stick together when something as tragic as this happens. I love every single one of you, and I implore you to spread the word.
After a horrific weekend on my front, I log on to LJ and read the following:

"After directing the first episode of the fourth season, he learned he had lung cancer. He died in Los Angeles, California, on January 25, 2009."

I'm completely and utterly speechless right now. Truly, there are no words. I send my condolences to his family, and to the cast and crew of Supernatural.
