Yep, today's my 24th birthday. Yay! I haven't been able to watch any Torchwood as of yet -- I just got home. My mother took me to Hobby Lobby and bought me a custom frame for my portrait of Captain Jack Harkness which is hand-signed by John Barrowman. Then, she took me out to lunch at Red Lobster (which was yummy, btw), and finally, she took me to the our local bakery to pick up my birthday cake -- which is beautiful beyond words. Finally, we got home and I find that my third season of Supernatural came in the mail. This day has been fucking awesome so far, and the real partying isn't even supposed to start until tonight. Keep in mind that I'm not a party animal... For me, a night of partying is chowing down on pizza and cake, while watching the premiere of Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth.

See? It doesn't take much to make this girl happy. By the way, pictures of my beautiful Janto birthday cake are under the cut, along with pictures of the gorgeous third season box set of Supernatural -- try not to drool, ladies. XD

By the way, I would like to thank everyone for the patience you all have shown while I've been working on my con report. I've still got quite a few pictures to transfer onto my computer so that I may do a few fix-ups with my PaintShop, but for the most part, the report is coming along nicely and nearing completion. I should have it posted within the next few hours. However, if it isn't posted by 9:00 PM (my time), then it will probably not be posted at all today because I'll be busy diving into my cake while watching the TAPS team hunt down ghosts. Then, at 10:00 PM, my favorite cryptozoologist returns with all new episodes. I'll see if I can get the report posted after that (between 11:00 PM and 12:00 AM). If not, it will definitely be posted tomorrow.

Lots of love guys, and I'll see you all later. ♥

My plans for Dragon*Con are complete. I've booked our hotel room, and the tickets were ordered today; they should arrive here at the house on Thursday. So, I guess that means it's official... I'm going to Dragon*Con! Whoo!

In other news, I finally received my *extreme* limited edition Doctor Who/Torchwood stamp covers from London~! They're exclusives from ScifiCollector, and they're hand-signed by: Freema Agyeman, Eve Myles, and... John Barrowman! Squee! Eve's stamp cover is from the Torchwood episode "Everything Changes," John's is from the Doctor Who episode "Bad Wolf" (a personal favorite of mine), and Freema's is from the Doctor Who episode "Last of the Time Lords." I actually had one hell of a time obtaining Freema's. You see, I had ordered the special series 3 launch cover, but unfortunately, they sold-out very quickly. Thankfully though, I spoke to the webmaster via e-mail and he made it his mission to get a Freema signed cover for me. So, he offered me an alternate cover from LotTL, and as it turns out, it was even more limited than the other version I had originally ordered.

Thanks so much R.J! Also, thanks for rapping Eddie's knuckles for me. xD

I also received my ten!Doctor shirt which I plan on wearing at Dragon*Con. So, if you guys see a dark-haired girl wearing purple nail-polish, a black headband, jeans, and a DrWho shirt with David Tennant on it, that's me! Stop by and say hi or else I'll be offended. xP
I've changed my layout to that of a Supernatural theme; credit belongs to [personal profile] riddley

Also, I received the following DVDs in the mail:

Batman Begins - Limited Edition Gift Set (Blu-Ray)
Stargate Atlantis - The Complete Fourth Season
Wire in the Blood - The Complete Fifth Series

A picture of the above is under the cut.

The lenticular on the front of the BB box is superb; it's basically the same one that was used for the BestBuy exclusive version of the film when it was first released on regular DVD. Also, I love the postcards that came with the box set -- particularly the one of Batman standing on the side of the building (fourth one from the left). Another great thing about this set is the fact that you get to see the first six minutes of The Dark Knight in hi-def (*insert fangirl squee here*). Money cash was also included for said film so that you can see it free of charge.

In other words, this box set was well worth the $34 that I dished out for it.

As for SGA season 4, the artwork on the front of the box is great-- although the second season box is still my favorite overall (I have a thing for shiny boxes). The WitB box on the other hand is a bit bland (as usual I might add). However, the pictures on the inside digi-pack are nice; they're in warm colors, and they feature the four main cast members of the series.

After a year of being MIA, this layabout has finally made her way back to LJ... And she finds that it's time for a few changes.

First of all, this journal is no longer of the "friends only" variety. I found that to be somewhat pretentious of me for some reason, so I decided to unlock my journal so that everyone is free to come in and comment as they please; all I ask is for you to behave yourself, and at least try to act mature. And yes, fangirl-y squee is also welcome-- just don't go overboard. Friending is also always welcome, just please let me know so that I may friend you back.

Second: the main uses for this journal are going to be for posting pictures of my ever growing collection of collectible merchandise. This, of course, will include: DVDs, autographs, manga/comics/graphic novels, posters/wallscrolls, figures, etc. Collecting various items from my favorite television series has become my main ever-consuming hobby, and I would very much like to share my collection with other people. Hopefully, I'll come across others who share this passion as well.

The first pictures of my collection shall be posted shortly; I'm still waiting for a few DVDs to come in the mail, along with a few exclusive autographed stamp-covers from Doctor Who that I just ordered. Hopefully, the pictures will be up by the end of the month.

Third: I'm going to also use this journal to document some huge upcoming trips that I'm currently planning. The first may very well be to Williamsburg, VA-- namely Jamestown (although I may also swing by Busch Gardens for the hell of it). After that, I'm going to see the Dead Sea Scrolls in Raleigh, and in March I'm going on an exclusive ghost-hunting trip to the Waverly Hills Sanatorium (as featured in Ghost Hunters).

Fourth, and finally: I may very well be posting reviews for episodes from my favorite television series here; the first is expected to be for Doctor Who - Stolen Earth (4x12).

Well, that's pretty much it. So, in closing, it's great to finally be back on LJ. Now, to quote my second favorite vampire, let's get to work.
